Pilchuck Audubon Society presents a free program on “Seeking Swifts“, with Larry Schwitters, a Vaux’s swift expert, Fri, July 13, 7-8:30 p m. at the Stanwood Library. His current Audubon Vaux’s Happening project has been responsible for bringing awareness and preservation efforts to the little birds all across Western North America. He will be able to tell attendees where and when to find the closest roosts. Some of the history of his work with black swifts for the American Bird Conservancy may also be covered. The Old Time Fiddlers meets Fridays July 13, and Aug. 10 and 24, at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave NE, Arlington. There will be no jam July 27 because of Kittitas fiddle camp week.
