Camano Island’s Freedom Park Association is seeking the names of men and women who served in the Army, Navy or Marine Corps in 1917 and 1918.
At its 3 p.m. July 4 Independence Day celebration at the park, the association plans to remember those who served in World War I.
The group has about 30 names of those who served from the Stanwood area. People who know of those who served in the First World War from Camano Island are asked to bring forward names, ranks, branches of service and areas of service.
