CASA Pet of the Week: Nigel

June 8, 2012

Nigel is a 4 year young black German Shepherd mix. He is adorable and will make a fun friend for some lucky person.

Please come meet Nigel at the shelter. While you are there take a look at some of his other shelter friends. If you have another dog be sure to bring them too for a meet-n-greet.

Nigel hopes to see you soon.

You can see all of our adoptable pets online at camanoanimalshelter.org.

Our animal shelter cares for both dogs and cats on Camano Island. We are an independent organization but do hold a contract with Island County to provide temporary care for impounded dogs on the island. Apart from that, CASA accepts stray dogs from the public and owner surrendered dogs as space allows. Our organization also cares for the island’s cats. We know that cats make up a very large part of Camano Island’s pet population. We care for stray or abandoned cats and accept owner surrendered cats as space allows.

Our ability to help cats is strictly thanks to donations. Our organization would not exist today without the generous support of our community and their donations. Over 70% of our operating costs are covered by donations.  THANK YOU!

CASA recognizes that finding forever homes for homeless animals is a community effort.  When possible, we assist other shelters by taking animals (primarily dogs) that have been at their shelter for a prolonged period of time and/or could really benefit from a change of environment or different exposure, which they may receive at our shelter.
